The research project in virtual reality on the intertemporal choice of LabVR UNISI was presented at the II DISPOC Interdisciplinary Workshop which was held at the Certosa di Pontignano on October 4th, 2019. The project intends to analyze the impact of cognitive bias on intertemporal choice and demonstrate how virtual reality can be a tool to influence its influence. The experiment analyzes monetary choices deferred over time in immersive environments and aims to show how the degree of connection between present self and future self is an important variable in determining rational intertemporal choices.
